Scitex MaskCutter opens TIFF (RGB, CMYK, Indexed and greyscale), EPS and Scitex CT images for masking. Masks can be exported in PostScript (EPS) for placement into designs or layouts or opening in Adobe Photoshop. There are six tools for masking: AutoMask, Density Mask, Polygon, Smooth Polygon, Rectangle and Oval. The tools can be used interchangeably when creating the mask path. (From the box).

Quick Start

What is Tracer? Follow this quick A, B, C:

A. Double Click on the "Intro" file.

B. Expand the Splash..Movie file and view using the Apple Quicktime Movie Player.

C. Now try this worked example: "Triangle to Square"

1. Draw a triangle with the Pen tool (Draw Menu/Pen Item)using double click or the SPACE bar to lift the pen between contours).
2. Move to frame 2 (using palette tool or Frame Menu/Next Frame)
3. Draw a square with the pen tool (or any other shape you like)

Compatibility: 

System Requirements

TRACER requires a colour Macintosh. It will run on both 68nnn and PowerPC systems. It has been tested on MacOS 7.5.5, System 8.0 and System 8.1 and should run on earlier systems. It requires at least 1.5Mb of RAM but allocating more space will allow more complex filled shape morphs. If limitations within the software are stopping you, let me know and I'll see what I can do!

Vue is a 3D scenery generator software package. It is used for the creation, animation, and rendering of natural 3D environments, in particular outdoor landscapes. It is used by visual effects studios for this purpose.

Pre-installed art package and "Radical Fun for Kids of ALL Ages". This software was originally an Aldus product, then acquired and re-badged by Adobe. The included PDF manual as supplied by Adobe, still bears only the Aldus logo and trademarks.

The archive is in a Disk Copy 6 image file and compressed with StuffIt Lite 3.6 - extract using the same, or a newer StuffIt Expander.

Loads of fun and appeal to children and adults alike.

Compatibility: 

68k encoded. Runs OK on Basilisk II & SheepShaver. Also runs OK on Mini vMac's Mac II variation, but with distorted sound effects (which is a known issue for this emulator).

Trying to run it on the Mac Plus version of Mini vMac fails to run with a "This app needs System 7.0 or later to run" error message (even though I was running SSW 7.0.1 & 7.1, to test). As it's recommended RAM requirement is 5MB, and it wants 256 colors to run in, this was more likely the issue.

Art Explorer prefers a small screen & 256 colors/greyscale but handles any resolution screen and bit depth above 256 colors, OK. Setting the monitor to 1bit (mono) caused the software to reset the display to 256 color's, automatically. So I suspect that mono Macs will not be suitable for running this software.

Runs (but did crash) on test with Mac OS 9.0.4 (SheepShaver). Seems to run OK on Mac OS 8.1 (SheepShaver) and earlier - same for Basilisk II.

Requires System Software 7.0 or newer.

arkaos v1.54 : a Carbonized music visualizer for iTunes, Audion, and SoundJam. The readme file looks older like v1.50 and instead of separate OS9-OSX installer programs, this installer is Carbon too and while OS9 iTunes vs OSX iTunes have differences in visualizers, this one installer adjusts accordingly to run on iTunes in either OS9 or OSX. Hopefully it handles Audion/SoundJam too, so no other installers will be needed.
